How to travel from Crete to Santorini by ferry? Currently, two leading ferry companies, Horizon Sea Lines and Sea Jets, offer high-speed boats for tourists. Ferries depart from the ports of Heraklion and Rethymno on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Departure times are early, between 8:00-8:30 AM, and the journey takes approximately two hours. In addition to these ferries, you can also travel from Heraklion to Santorini with the following companies:

• Blue Star Ferries on Sundays (departure at 10:45 PM, arrival at 1:55 AM).
• Fast Ferries on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday with the Thunder ferry (7:00 AM – 9:05 AM) on Friday and Sunday with the Santorini Palace ferry (9:00 AM – 10:55 AM).
