Museum in Akrotiri

One of the most remote settlements from the capital, Santorini, is Akrotiri, famous for its red beach and archaeological values. Museum Akrotiri is an interesting place with a small territory. A little more than an hour is enough to see everything. Here, you can get acquainted with the impressive ruins of the ancient city and see well-preserved wall paintings.

The archaeological museum's original, unusual format leaves unforgettable impressions. It is open from 08:30 to 15:30 on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and from 08:00 to 20:00 on other days. 

Excavations are continuing, as much of the ancient city remains under a thick layer of volcanic ash. Archaeologists hope to discover exciting artifacts and provide them to tourists for familiarization.
