Museum in Akrotiri

One of the most remote settlements from the capital, Santorini, is Akrotiri, famous for its red beach and archaeological values. The ancient town is located along the shores and caldera on the southern part of the island. Ruins about 6000 years old reveal well-preserved remains of the Minoan civilization. Among the excavations of the ancient settlement are samples of ceramics and ancient architecture.

We recommend visiting the sights and suggesting a Santorini Greece photoshoot as a keepsake. Contact us to discuss the details of cooperation.

Opening hours of the museum

Part of the ancient city, which was excavated by Greek archaeologists, is covered with a roof, allowing tourists to walk comfortably inside the sites.

Museum Akrotiri is an interesting place with a small territory. A little more than an hour is enough to see everything. Here, you can get acquainted with the impressive ruins of the ancient city and see well-preserved wall paintings.

The archaeological museum's original, unusual format leaves unforgettable impressions. It is open from 08:30 to 15:30 on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and from 08:00 to 20:00 on other days.

Excavations are continuing, as much of the ancient city remains under a thick layer of volcanic ash. Archaeologists hope to discover exciting artifacts and provide them to tourists for familiarization.
